MAKE AN IMPACT TODAY!

Support LLABUILD in creating the first if its kind public, no-fee boarding academy for the Bay Area's most disconnected youth facing unsafe and unstable living conditions.

Life Learning Academy (LLA) is a public charter high school in the San Francisco Unified School District that supports the social and emotional health of the Bay Area's most disconnected youth, and ensures their academic achievement, employability, and capacity to live a healthy, successful life. Founded in 1998 by Delancey Street Foundation, LLA's award-winning model is based on the core principles of 'reciprocal restitution' and 'each one teach one.'

LLA's newest initiative, LLABUILD, will disrupt the cycle of poverty through stable housing, award-winning academics, and workforce development for underserved teens who are committed to constructing successful lives. With your support, LLA student residents will live in a safe, stable, structured environment that significantly improves their prospects for achieving academic excellence and successfully transitioning to productive adulthood.

OUR CORE BELIEF

IF LLA students (who do not have safe/stable housing) are offered stable, structured residence

WHILE students receive an award-winning education, workforce development training, and emotional and community support at home and in school

THEN they will leave high school with significantly improved prospects for ongoing education and paid employment.
